Rooted in Family & Tradition

Brothers Craft Foods was founded by brothers Gavin, Jamie, and Christian Farella, whose passion for food, family, and hospitality has been passed down through generations.

Raised between New York and the coastal communities of North Carolina, the Farella brothers were deeply influenced by their Davis family roots on Davis Island and the Outer Banks, where food was more than nourishment—it was a way of bringing people together. Family gatherings were filled with fresh seafood, soulful cooking, music, storytelling, and the traditions of hardworking fishermen and Chanteymen. Those experiences shaped not only how the brothers cook, but how they live and do business today.

In 2008, the brothers opened a small barbecue shack in New Windsor, New York. What began as a humble roadside restaurant quickly developed a loyal following built on slow-smoked meats, family recipes, and genuine hospitality. After a devastating fire destroyed the original shack in 2010, the brothers rebuilt from the ground up, opening a full-service restaurant in 2012 and later expanding to Ramsey, New Jersey in 2020.

From Barbecue to Brothers Craft Foods

As guests continued asking to take a piece of Brothers Barbecue home, one product stood above the rest—our signature barbecue sauce. What started as a recipe served in our restaurants became the foundation for Brothers Craft Foods. Today, we proudly produce a growing line of sauces, seasonings, mixes, and specialty products inspired by the recipes that built our family business.

Leading our culinary vision is youngest brother and Pitmaster Christian “Big Chris” Farella, whose passion for barbecue earned him a featured spot on Food Network’s BBQ Brawl. Together, the brothers have also earned championship titles at Brisket King NYC and Rib King NYC, establishing Brothers Barbecue as one of the Northeast’s premier barbecue brands.

At the heart of everything we create is a commitment to quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and the belief that food should bring people together. Whether you’re firing up the grill, gathering around the dinner table, or sharing a meal with friends, our goal is simple: to bring the flavors, traditions, and hospitality of our family to yours.

Jamie carries the family cookbook in his head. From cornbread to sides, he’s the one who makes sure every recipe we sell tastes like Sunday dinner.

The Builder

Chris brought the restaurant to the shelf. He’s the one who believed our food could travel — and turned Brothers Barbecue into Brothers Craft Foods.
